Chris Humphrey is Of Counsel at Levy Phillips & Konigsberg LLP in the firm’s Saratoga Springs and Albany, New York offices. Chris is an experienced attorney who is dedicated to representing veterans, working men and women, and their families who have been injured by asbestos, lead, chemical toxins, defective products, and medical malpractice.
Prior to pursuing a legal career, Chris completed ten (10) years of distinguished service (1988 to 1999) as a Nuclear Engineer and Instructor in the United States Naval Nuclear Power Program, where he specialized in the areas of nuclear chemistry, mechanical engineering, industrial hygiene, and hazardous waste management, while serving on board nuclear submarines, land based nuclear facilities and in shipyards. He served during the Persian Gulf War and completed tours of duty on board ballistic missile submarine USS Lewis & Clark (SSBN 644) and fast attack submarine USS Santa Fe (SSN 763).
Chris completed his military service by serving as an instructor at the Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory Nuclear Training Facility, located in Ballston Spa, NY, where he was awarded the distinguished Master Training Specialist Designation and Navy & Marine Corps Achievement Medal. Chris’ technical and legal training has equipped him with a unique skill set that enables him to tackle the toughest cases for his clients.
Chris has represented clients with mesothelioma and other asbestos-related diseases who were exposed to asbestos in a broad range of settings including refineries, ships, manufacturing facilities, boiler rooms, pottery studios, and private residences where exposure unwittingly occurred through the laundering of asbestos-laden clothes. Many of Chris’ clients have obtained multi-million dollar settlements and jury verdicts, and Chris has worked closely with LPK partner Moshe Maimon on numerous New Jersey asbestos cases.
Chris received his Juris Doctor from Seton Hall University School of Law, a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies and Policy from Skidmore College and a Nuclear Engineering Certification from the United States Navy. He is admitted to practice before the New York, New Jersey, and Massachusetts State Courts, the Federal Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the District Court of Massachusetts, the District of New Jersey and the United States Supreme Court.
Chris resides in Saratoga Springs, New York. He is an avid outdoorsman and an active member of the Submarine Veteran Association and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
