DONALD P. BLYDENBURGH
An associate at Levy Phillips & Konigsberg, LLP, Donald P. Blydenburgh focuses on asbestos and toxic tort litigation. Don is admitted to practice law in New York, and before the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.
Prior to joining LPK, Don worked for a civil litigation firm where he successfully litigated labor law and aviation cases in the state and federal courts of New York. Don also clerked for the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and Hon. Joan M. Azrack of the Eastern District of New York.
Don received his Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School in 2005, graduating as a Carswell Merit Scholar. While at Brooklyn Law, Don was a Dean's List recipient, a member of the Moot Court Honor Society's trial division, the Speaker of the Student Bar Association, and Chapter President of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America (nka American Association for Justice). He also volunteered with Sanctuary for Families and the Domestic Violence Division of the Kings County District Attorney's Office. Don graduated Columbia University in 2001 with a degree in Economics and Political Science. While at Columbia, he was named the Schwartz Merit Scholar for high achievement in academics and athletics (baseball), and served on the University Senate.
Don is an active member of the New York City and State bar associations. He has lectured on trial techniques at Brooklyn Law and Seton Hall Law, and has authored an article on jury verdicts entitled Analyzing Inconsistent Verdicts in Products Liability Cases, 73 Def. Couns. J. 46 (2006).
Don and his wife, Eileen, a real estate agent, and actor, director and theater producer, live in Brooklyn, New York. Don is the executive producer, and Eileen is the founder and artistic producer, of Husky Dog Productions, a theater production company based in Brooklyn.
