DEPO PROVERA

Manufactured by Pfizer, DEPO PROVERA is a hormone-based method of birth control injected every twelve weeks. It has been associated with the significant loss of Bone Mass Density [BMD] plus subsequent development of osteoporosis and osteopenia.

Increased Risks
Studies have shown that women taking DEPO PROVERA, for more than five years, increased their risk of developing osteoporosis by 50%. Many of these women have no family history of osteoporosis. For young women, this may have significant, life-altering consequences.

For Some Bone Loss Is Irreversible
There is additional evidence that diminished bone mass density continues to plague women after they have stopped taking DEPO PROVERA as subsequent bone loss may be irreversible. This is particularly disturbing for women in their childbearing years, because it may complicate pregnancy, or lead to an inability to have children.

If you were prescribed DEPO PROVERA and have developed any of the following medical conditions during or after the course of treatment, you may be entitled to substantial monetary compensation:
bulletHip Fracture
bulletSpine Fracture
bulletOsteoporosis
bulletOsteopenia
bulletLimb Fracture
bulletLoss of Height

Taking legal action against a drug manufacturer for injuries caused by pharmaceuticals, the usual standards of product liability apply: strict liability, negligence, and breach of warranty. If a physician's conduct is to blame, a medical malpractice suit may be justified.

Levy Phillips & Konigsberg, LLP, has won complex litigation verdicts with large settlements. The firm offers experienced, innovative representation for DEPO PROVERA victims.
