An associate at Levy Phillips & Konigsberg, Dan specializes in medical malpractice, infant lead poisoning, product liability and general tort litigation. He has been a part of numerous multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements.
Dan was the lead trial attorney in an infant lead poisoning case where he obtained an $8.5 million dollar verdict on behalf of a lead poisoned child. Dan was also the lead trial attorney in a case that resulted in a $2.45 million dollar verdict on behalf of a young woman who was lead poisoned as a child.
Dan was also the lead appellate attorney on the following reported appellate decisions, which resulted in successful outcomes for his clients: Perez v. 2246 Holding Corp., 71 A.D.3d 751 (A.D. 2nd Dep’t 2010); Peguero v. 601 Realty Corp., 58 A.D.3d 556 (A.D. 1st Dep’t 2009); and Reitman v. St. Francis Hospital, 2 A.D.3d 429 (A.D. 2nd Dep’t 2003).
Recently, Dan Woodard has been selected by Super Lawyers® as a "Rising Star" in the area of products liability representing plaintiffs in personal injury actions and will appear in New York Super Lawyers 2011 magazine. Only 2.5 percent of New York attorneys were chosen for this honor.
Dan is licensed to practice law in the State of New York and the State of New Jersey. He is also licensed to appear before the United States District Court for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the New Jersey Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, and the New York State Trial Lawyers Association.
Dan graduated from Brooklyn Law School in 1999. In 1996, he earned Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and History and graduated cum laude from Binghamton University (SUNY).
