An associate attorney at Levy Phillips & Konigsberg, LLP, Holly C. Peterson solely represents individuals and families affected by the asbestos-related disease, mesothelioma. She represents victims of this disease across the country, has taken cases to trial in multiple jurisdictions, obtained millions of dollars in settlements for her clients and recently won a multi-million dollar verdict on behalf of a pipefitter and his family in New York City. Prior to joining LPK, Holly litigated product liability, personal injury, and labor and employment cases in New York and New Jersey. She was also engaged in appellate practice in these areas.
Holly is licensed to practice law in New York, New Jersey, and Texas. She is also licensed to appear before the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the Supreme Court of the United States.
She is a member of the American, Texas, New York State, New York County, New Jersey State and New York City Bar Associations; the American Association for Justice (AAJ) and the New York State Trial Lawyers Association.
Holly received her Bachelor of Arts from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, and graduated from Seton Hall University School of Law in Newark, New Jersey. Among the honors she received while pursuing her law degree were the National Association of Women Lawyers’ Outstanding Law Student Award and the Mary Franzese Humanitarian Achievement Award.
Holly began her law career prior to graduation, representing clients as a student attorney in the Seton Hall Center for Social Justice’s Civil Litigation Clinic. As a member of the Student Bar Association and Public Interest Network, she held several leadership positions, which included serving on the Honor Council and presiding, for two years, as Justice of Seton Hall’s Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity chapter. She also served as a judicial intern in both the state and federal courts of New Jersey. Following graduation, Holly served as Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable John A. O'Shaughnessy of the Superior Court of New Jersey.
