Joe Vazquez
Joe Vazquez is an associate at Levy Phillips & Konigsberg, LLP focusing on asbestos and toxic tort litigation. Prior to joining LPK, Joe worked as a commercial litigator at one of the largest firms in Philadelphia. While there, Joe represented government and commercial entities in a wide variety of civil cases, ranging from multimillion dollar contractual disputes to wrongful death actions.
Throughout his career Joe has engaged in a variety of professional activities outside of his litigation practice. While in Philadelphia, he was a member of the Philadelphia Diversity Law Group’s Ad Hoc Alumni Committee, the Hispanic Bar Association and served as the Co-Chair of the Welcoming Committee for the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Minority Bar Committee. Joe is also active politically. During the recent presidential election, he assisted President Barack Obama’s Campaign with it attorney recruitment efforts in Pennsylvania and served as a member of the Campaign’s Voter Protection Team in several states.
Joe was born and raised in New York City and is fluent in Spanish. He received his law degree from Temple University’s Beasley School of Law. As a law student Joe received a variety of trial advocacy awards and distinctions, including an award for excellence in civil trial advocacy. He was also a member of a trial team which went undefeated nationwide in route to winning a national mock trial championship.
Prior to attending law school Joe received his bachelor of arts from Haverford College, where he was elected Student Body President. While in college, Joe interned with the American Civil Liberties Union’s National Office. |
