Karen Podell

An associate at Levy Phillips & Konigsberg, LLP, Karen Podell specializes in Surrogate's Court practice and Medicare regulations and compliance. Prior to joining LPK, Karen worked in a private practice where she focused on estates and trusts, as well as civil litigation including family law, rights of disabled individuals and real estate issues. She has also served as a guardian ad litem in Suffolk County Surrogate's Court.

Karen is licensed to practice law in the State of New York. She is also licensed to appear before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York. She is a member of New York State Bar Association's Trusts and Estates Law Section, and a member of Surrogate's Court Committees at both Nassau and Suffolk County Bar Associations.

Karen graduated from Fordham Law School in 1993. She received her bachelor's degree in Communications from Hunter College in New York City where she graduated with honors in 1989.
