Lori A. Benavides

An associate attorney at Levy Phillips & Konigsberg, LLP, Lori A. Benavides focuses on representing victims of mesothelioma and other asbestos-related diseases and their families. She is admitted to practice in Massachusetts, Washington, Illinois and Wisconsin. Lori is also licensed to appear before the United States District Courts for the Western District of Washington and the Northern District of Illinois, and the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.
Prior to joining LPK, Lori represented individuals in criminal and civil appeals in a Boston law firm and served for three years as an Assistant District Attorney with the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office in Massachusetts. She later joined a Seattle firm emphasizing intellectual property, media, entertainment, and business litigation. Lori then practiced at a Chicago firm representing individuals suffering from asbestos-related diseases. She helped secure a substantial verdict on behalf of the family of a mesothelioma victim exposed to asbestos dust released when the defendant manufacturer’s crane brake linings were ground down at the Milwaukee factory where he worked.
Lori graduated with honors from Seattle University in 1997 and received her law degree from Harvard Law School in 2000. While at Harvard, Lori was the submissions editor for the Harvard Human Rights Journal. After graduation, Lori clerked for the Honorable Andre A. Gelinas (Ret.) of the Massachusetts Appeals Court.
