LEAD PAINT POISONING WARNINGS FOR TOYS
The following is a list of toys that have been recalled, in 2007, by the Consumer Product Safety Commission ("CPSC") for containing significant quantities of lead paint which, if ingested or inhaled, can cause lead paint poisoning in children:

Soldier Bear Brand Toy Sets
July 18, 2007
According to the CPSC, “surface paints on the toy action figures, dinosaurs and animals contain high levels of lead.” This recall affects the following items: H.E.R.O.E.S. Dino Mega Cruiser, Dinosaur Adventure Set (two styles), Wild Animal Adventure Set, H.E.R.O.E.S. Vehicle Play Set (three styles: military, police and fire rescue). Essentials for Kids Jewelry Sets

According to the CPSC, “The recalled jewelry sets include a necklace, bracelet and pair of earrings made of green, blue or pink plastic beads. The necklaces have painted metallic pendants in the shape of shoes, girls, blackboards with “ABCD,” or school buses. The other recalled jewelry sets include a necklace and seven pendants, one for each day of the week. Thomas & Friends™ Wooden Railway Toys

According to the CPSC, "The recall involves wooden vehicles, buildings and other train set components for young children listed in the chart below. The front of the packaging has the logo "Thomas & Friends Wooden Railway" on the upper left-hand corner. A manufacturing code may be located on the bottom of the product or inside the battery cover. Toys marked with codes containing "WJ" or "AZ" are not included in this recall... Surface paints on the recalled products contain lead. "Elite Operations" Toy Sets sold at Toys "R" Us

According to the CPSC, "This recall involves three styles of "Elite Operations" brand toy sets. The military-style play sets contain light and sound vehicles, action figures and accessories. Models included in this recall are: Super Rigs Transport Vehicle (Item # 087286), Command Patrol Center (Item # 920625) and Troop Carrier (Item # 773967). The item numbers are located on the back of the packaging above the barcode. Toy sets sold prior to January 2006 are not included in this recall. According to the CPSC, "The recalled easels are two-sided, with felt and a pull-out panel on one side and a chalkboard on the other side. The recalled easels include the word "Jolly" at the top.
