Patrick J. Timmins

An associate at Levy Phillips & Konigsberg, LLP, Patrick J. Timmins' main practice areas are personal injury and mass tort litigation, with an emphasis on asbestos and mesothelioma litigation. He joined the firm in 2005.
Patrick has extensive jury trial experience. In 2009, he won an $8 million jury verdict in Upstate New York's Schenectady County, against a gasket manufacturer and a wire and cable manufacturer, on behalf of a mesothelioma victim who had worked as a shipyard electrician.
In 2007, Patrick won a $4 million jury verdict in New York County, against a powerful wire and cable corporation, on behalf of a Local 3 electrician who had suffered and died from mesothelioma.
He was the lead plaintiffs' attorney in one of the largest consolidated cases for the 2004 calendar docket of the New York County Supreme Court, which involved 5 plaintiffs with asbestos related diseases and 8 defendant corporations.
During the 1990’s, Patrick prosecuted many criminal cases, including murder and other violent felonies, at the Bronx County District Attorney's office. While there, he also participated in an outreach program that taught law and civics to a local public school.
Patrick is an adjunct professor in the Law, Police Science, and Criminal Justice Administration Department at John Jay College, a division of the City University of New York. There, he teaches Constitutional Law and Criminal Law.
While at Pace University School of Law, Patrick participated in the school's first International Moot Court at Gray's Inn, one of London's four Inns of Court, against Great Britain's University College.
Patrick is admitted to practice law in New York, New Jersey, and in federal courts of both states.
