Wayne Margolis
Associate
An associate at Levy Phillips & Konigsberg, LLP, Wayne Margolis focuses on asbestos/mesothelioma litigation. He is admitted to practice law in the state courts of New York and Massachusetts.
Prior to joining the firm, Wayne served for five years as an Assistant District Attorney with the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office in Boston, Massachusetts. There, Wayne gained extensive trial experience by trying well over forty felony and misdemeanor criminal cases to verdict. Wayne was also a member of the office's Child Protection Unit, where he had the opportunity to work closely with children who were victims of child abuse.
Prior to entering law school, Wayne served as Special Assistant to Senator Edward M. Kennedy of Massachusetts. While a law student, Wayne had the privilege of interning for Senator Kennedy on the United States Senate Judiciary Committee. Wayne also worked on advance teams for President and Mrs. Clinton, Vice-President and Mrs. Gore, and Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton.
In 2000, Wayne earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Tufts University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He majored in Political Science, and was named to the Dean's List every semester. In 2005, he earned his Juris Doctorate from Emory University School of Law. During his second and third years of law school, Wayne was named to the Dean's List, and received the Dean's Award in both Criminal Procedure and Discovery Techniques.
